The Abbotsford Fire Fighter’s Charitable society had the honour of putting on a dinner for the Canuck Place bereavement group this past holiday season.  Canuck Place Bereavement services help families rebuild their lives following the devastating loss of their beloved child. They help them find the courage to face one of life’s most unimaginable events, and they walk with them through that most profound path of bereavement and loss, honouring each in their unique journey.

Volunteers from the Abbotsford Fire Fighter’s Association created a menu, shopped and picked up supplies, prepped and prepared the entire meal.  A special thank you goes to Nature’s Pickins on Sumas Way in Abbotsford for donating all the produce and fresh food supplies for the event.

We have expressed our interest in making this an annual event that we can plan for and grow every year.  We are honoured to be able to put on this dinner at a special time of year where the bereaved families can come together with their Canuck Place family and enjoy some holiday festivities and food.
